 He is a Syrian singer who enjoys wide fame in the Arab world, as he is considered one of the most important and famous Arab singers, and has a wide and popular fan base. His fans call him Sultan Al-Tarab.  His talent appeared by singing in concerts and hotels in his country, Syria, and then in Lebanon, and he continued to perform songs and perform at parties,

 - George was very attached to his father, who was famous for writing light poetry, and helped him to memorize and recite the mawwal that had a great role in his fame, and George Wassouf grew up in the city of Homs, and when he reached the age of fourteen, he became famous in Syria for singing the mawwil, which he had started singing.  In school, the most important of which was the money of "Hasbaya" who was the reason for his first fame, and after that he moved from Homs to Damascus,


 - There he started singing in a restaurant as a second-class singer, but soon the Musicians Syndicate issued a decision banning him from singing;  Because he was under the age of eighteen, but a fan of his voice interceded for him with the union, so he was allowed to sing under the pretext that (his voice was older than his age), and then he was inundated with performances, so he sang in concerts and hotels, and achieved great fame.  After that, George Wassouf moved to Lebanon, when he was not yet sixteen years old, and he succeeded in attracting the public's attention to him through his talent and voice,


 - He also attracted major artists in Lebanon, including the artist "George Yazbek" and the artist "Wadih Al Safi" who sponsored him artistically. Some dubbed him at the beginning of the miracle singer, or the miracle child, and released his first songs at the age of sixteen, entitled "Al Hawa Sultan", which won  Wide fame and was called because of it the title (Sultan Al-Tarab), and at the beginning of his professionalism he sang great artists, such as: Abdel Halim Hafez, Umm Kulthum, and Wadih Al-Safi, and in the early nineties he performed the song of the artist Kazem Al-Saher (I bless you with God), but in his own style,


 - After that, his artistic releases, albums and songs continued, and through them he adhered to Arab originality and oriental art, and he held a large number of concerts in the Arab world and the world, and had a large audience and wide popularity.  George Wassouf's personal life George Wassouf got to know his first wife Shalimar at one of his concerts in Paris in the early eighties, and he was almost 21 years old, so he loved her at first sight and married a civilian in Paris, and had three children from her (Wadih, Hatim, and George the Younger).


 - He became nicknamed after Abu Wadih, and he separated from her later. As for his second wife, the champion of the Qatari Rally Championship (Nada Zaidan), of Palestinian origin and Turkish nationality, he met her in one of the orthopedic hospitals in Qatar where he came for treatment, and she was working at the time in the hospital as president  To the Players Affairs Department, I supervised George's health condition, and a love story arose between them, and he announced his marriage to her in 2014 AD, and she bore him his only daughter (Ayoun),

 - George Wassouf presented throughout his artistic journey a large number of songs whose lyrics were written by many poets, including: Fawzi Ibrahim, Ahmed Fouad Negm, Awad Badawi, Ahmed Sheta, Ahmed Sami, Mustafa Zaki, Zuhair Issawi, Badi Yazbek, Safouh Shaghala, and Nabil Mahdi.  Walid Ruzaiqa, Hani Al-Sagheer, Abeer Al-Razzaz, Muhammad Zaki Al-Mallah, Nader Abdullah, Youssef Suleiman, Salah Jawhar, Bahaa Al-Din Muhammad, Shawqi Sharif, Muhammad bin Khalifa, and Hani Abdul Karim.
