History of Arabic music,


The evolution of Arabic music:




 * Arab music witnessed a great development in different stages of history and witnessed many important qualitative shifts that led to what it is now, and it appeared to be influenced by many civilizations and cultures of different peoples, such as ancient Greek, Turkish, Egyptian, and many others, and it included many musical styles and genres between classical, popular and religious  ,


 The most important historical stages of Arab music.




 1- The pre-Islamic era, all the information about this period of time is simple and primitive, as music in this period included wandering songs and trips, as the community’s interests were different at that time and art was not among them, and poetry was the main material for singing.



 2- The Abbasid Era The Abbasid era is the golden age in the history of Arabic music. It spread and popularized its use and developed a great development, and musicians became close to the caliphs, and many books were written in this era in the science of music and singing, the most famous of which is the great book of music for al-Farabi and the book of songs  Al-Isfahani.  The rule of the Caliph, who is confident in God, was the most prominent period of this era, as he paid most of his attention to singing and music, and he was a brilliant musician and a good-sounding singer.



 3- The Andalusian Era This period witnessed a great musical renaissance between the eighth and fifteenth centuries, and Andalusia became in this era a center for the manufacture of musical instruments, and these goods spread from France to include all European countries.



 4- The modern era appeared to be influenced by Western music and culture, and this was evident on the pioneers of the modern Arab musical school, such as Muhammad Abdel-Wahhab, Sayed Darwish, Omar Khairat and others. The mixing between Arab and Western music and the use of musical instruments and Western words in some songs has spread.  And it is still in continuous development to this day.
