First: by using the device's own settings menu:

 * Open the "Settings" application on the Android device.  Choose the System option near the bottom of the screen.  Choose the advanced option, and you can click on the About phone option if there is no Advanced option.

 * Click on the (System update) option.  Follow the instructions on the screen to update to the latest version available for the Android device.  Note: The device can be updated when a notification appears on the user's device about an update, by opening this notification, then clicking the update button.

 Second: Update the Android device via computer:

 1- Download the desktop program provided by the manufacturer of the Android device;  As there are many programs that differ according to the type of device, and a desktop program for Samsung phones can be downloaded by clicking on the electronic link Click here.  Clicking on the "KIES DOWNLOAD" button.

 2- Install the program on the computer, by double clicking on the downloaded file from the previous step, then following the instructions that appear on the screen to complete the installation process.  Download any available updates for the Android device, and it is recommended to select its type and model to determine the presence of any new updates.  Connect the Android device to the computer, using a USB connection.

 3- Open the desktop program that was installed on the computer.  Search for "Update" within the program, then click on it.  Determine the file from which to update, which was previously downloaded to your computer.  Follow the update process by following the instructions on the screen.

 Knowing the Android version available on the device The following are the steps to find out the Android version on the user's device:

 * Open the Settings menu on the Android phone.  Click on About Phone, which appears at the bottom of the Settings menu.  Select the (Software Information) option, to view the Android system version available on the device.
