 The fastest insect on earth,

The fastest insect on earth,

The fastest insect on earth:

 * The results of a study conducted at the University of Florida indicate that Australian tiger beetles (in English: Australian tiger beetles) are the fastest insects that walk on Earth, and according to the study, the tiger beetle known scientifically as Cicindela hudsoni ranks first, with a speed of 2.49 meters per second, and is ranked  The second tiger beetle, Cicindela eburneola, can reach a speed of 1.86 meters per second.

The pros and cons of super speed:

 * Entomologist Cole Gilbert noticed that tiger beetles stop several times while chasing their prey, and this behavior raised his surprise, it is incomprehensible why an insect might stop while hunting instead of rushing towards the prey, the strange thing is that the insect's speed was the reason behind  This behavior, as the insect's rapid release limits its eyes' ability to collect enough photons to form an image of the prey and determine its precise location,

 * This condition can be described as temporary blindness. The amazing thing about this insect is that its high speed enables it to compensate for the time wasted during the state of temporary blindness, so it traverses the distance that separates it from its prey quickly and catches it.

 * The second impressive thing about tiger beetles is their ability to overcome obstacles that stand in their way without hitting them, thanks to this due to the antennae that remain fixed in the shape of the letter V, which enables the insect to detect the presence of any obstacle in the road and change its course quickly to avoid it to complete  Its way towards the goal.

General information about the tiger beetle, as follows some information about the tiger beetle:

Tiger beetles live in all parts of the world, but they are most common in tropical and subtropical environments.  Tiger beetles have long legs that range from 10-20 mm in length and have swollen eyes.

The colors of most types of tiger beetles range from iridescent blue, green, orange, and scarlet, while the species that live on the sand are often light colors that harmonize with the colors of the surrounding environment.  Both the larva and the adult tiger beetle are predators, and they often feed on insects and spiders.
