Causes of Irritable Bowel Syndrome,



IBS:



 Irritable Bowel Syndrome is one of the types of digestive disorders, which is the appearance of a group of symptoms on the sufferer, such as: discomfort, abdominal pain, increased gas, and other symptoms that will be mentioned later in this article,  In any case, Irritable Bowel Syndrome is not considered a dangerous and life-threatening condition, and it does not lead to other colon diseases, but it is a long-term, annoying health problem that affects the way and style of daily life, in addition to the absence of a specific treatment that works for all people with it, but there are many methods  That would reduce or eliminate symptoms,



 * Follow some dietary instructions, lifestyle changes, and taking some types of medications, and it should be noted that there is no specific examination to determine the incidence of IBS, but the doctor may conduct tests to ensure that there are no other diseases, such as: stool tests, blood tests, and x-rays  X-ray, and colonoscopy.


 Best Colon Eating:



 There are many foods that may relieve symptoms of IBS, and not cause irritation, and some of them can be explained as follows:



 1- Eggs: It is considered one of the foods that are easily digested, it is possible for people with Irritable Bowel Syndrome to eat eggs in all its forms, in case they are not allergic to the protein found in egg white.


 2- Foods that contain omega-3: such as: salmon, sardines, cod, and other foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids, it is known that omega-3 acid has an important role as an anti-inflammatory in the body, and since inflammation is related to the appearance of colon symptoms  Nervous;  Taking omega-3s may have a role in relieving uncomfortable symptoms.


 3- Lactose-free milk: In addition to other alternative dairy products, such as: rice milk and feta cheese.  Fruits: such as: kiwi, watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberry and oranges.  Vegetables: such as lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, turnips, potatoes, and eggplant.  Proteins: such as: chicken, beef, and fish.



 Foods that irritate the colon:



 * There are some foods that worsen Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) symptoms, and it is advised to avoid them when infected, and as follows, we mention some of them:


 1- Dairy: Milk products may increase symptoms of diarrhea in general.  This is because they contain fats, and therefore it is advised to avoid them, and eat dairy products that do not contain fat instead, in addition to some people suffering from a state of lactose intolerance, and in this case they are advised to avoid dairy altogether and look for alternatives to dairy products, such as: rice milk and soy cheese  .



 2- Fried foods: As the high fat content found in fried foods, such as;  French fries may increase IBS symptoms and irritation.



 3- Beans and legumes: Although beans may help reduce constipation, legumes in general increase gas, cramps, and bloating, so they should be avoided in the case of irritable bowel syndrome.



 4- Caffeine: Coffee, soft drinks, and energy drinks that contain caffeine may stimulate bowel movements and cause diarrhea.



 5- Processed foods: There are a large number of processed foods that cause irritation of IBS, such as: frozen meals, potato chips, that contain preservatives and additives.



 6- Chocolate: because of its high content of caffeine and sugar, which leads to the emergence of symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome, and causes constipation.


 7- Alcoholic beverages: Drinking alcohol may be a great trigger for people with IBS.  This is because of the way the body digests alcohol and the containment of gluten and sugar.



 8- Garlic and onions: Garlic and onions may be difficult for the intestine to digest, which may cause painful gas production and intestinal cramps.



 Causes of Irritable Bowel Syndrome:



 * There is no precise and specific cause behind IBS, but there are hypotheses and several factors that may play a role in developing it, and in the following we will mention some of them:


 - Contraction of the intestinal muscles: there are layers of muscles that are wrapped around the walls of the intestine, which contract when food moves through the digestive system, if these contractions are stronger than usual;  It will produce flatulence, flatulence, and diarrhea.


 The presence of abnormalities in the nervous system: Poor coordination of nerve messages between the brain and the intestine leads to disturbances in the digestive system, resulting in constipation or diarrhea, in addition to feeling pain.



 - Inflammation of the intestine: In some people with IBS, an increase in the number of immune system cells in their intestine has been found, which may be associated with an increased feeling of pain and diarrhea.



 Severe infection: Having a bacterial or viral infection in the intestine may lead to severe diarrhea, and there may be a relationship between infection with irritable bowel and severe intestinal infection.  Disturbance or change of intestinal bacteria: The intestine contains beneficial bacteria that have a fundamental role in health, if the balance of these bacteria differs from the normal situation;  A person may experience symptoms of IBS.



 Irritable Bowel Syndrome:



 * There are several symptoms that appear on the patient in Irritable Bowel Syndrome, some of them can be mentioned as follows:


 Suffering from stomach pain and cramps, which intensify after eating.  Flatulence and a feeling of fullness in the abdomen.  Diarrhea or constipation.  Bloating and passing gas.  Feeling tired, tired, and lacking in energy.  Nausea  Complaining of back pain.



 Problems with urination;  Like urinating a lot and suddenly.  A feeling that the intestine is not completely emptied after using the bathroom.  The emergence of an unpleasant smell in the mouth.  Headache.  Suffering from joint or muscle pain.  Impotence, and a feeling of pain when having sex in women.  Irregular menstrual cycles in women.  Feeling anxious and depressed.
