The place of Tomb of Hood, peace be upon him


Hood, peace be upon him:



 * He is one of the prophets, God Almighty sent him to the people of Aad, which is one of the defunct tribes that branched off from the sons of Sam bin Noah. The tribe was named by that name in relation to (Aad bin Irm bin Sam).  Ibn Katheer mentioned that Hood is Houd bin Shalakh bin Arfakhshad bin Sam bin Noah, and it was also said that he was Aaber bin Shalikh bin Sam bin Noah, and he mentioned that he was bin Abdullah bin Rabah bin Lajloud bin Aad bin Sam bin Noah.

 * They used to live in an area located in the south of the Arabian Peninsula, to the north of Hadramout, Al-Ahqaf and the Empty Quarter, to the east of which is the Sultanate of Oman. Its shape today is a sandy, barren land devoid of urbanization and uninhabitable.  A common people were idolaters;  Where they had three idols (Sada, Hara, and Samouda), the books mentioned that they lived in huge buildings.  The story of Hood, peace be upon him, the Holy Quran mentioned the story of Hood with a people who returned in detail;  As it was mentioned in ten surahs,



 * The Qur’an indicated that an ordinary people were the caliphs on earth after the people of Noah. They were distinguished by strength and strength, and they were a luxurious people. They were blessed with cattle and children, and gardens flourished around them and eyes of water.  Among the milestones that showed their strength and luxury, they were idol worshipers, did not believe in God and did not recognize the Last Day,


 * God sent hoods to them to invite them to worship God, leaving what they worshiped without Him, and warning them of His punishment and anger, so what was among them was that they mocked his call and denied him, and only a few of them answered his call.  After some people who returned to their gods and their hostility to Hood, peace be upon him, God sent a fierce wind over them for eight days and seven nights.



 Location of Tomb of Hood, peace be upon him:



 * Many differed as to the true location of Hood's tomb, peace be upon him, as is the case for the graves of other prophets.  Where it was said that his grave is located in a mosque, this mosque is located in an abandoned village near Hadramawt, to the north of Al-Mukalla. Visitors flock to the place in large numbers to conduct their own religious rituals, and various inscriptions and ancient monuments were found in the place surrounding the tomb.  It was also said that the tomb of Hood, peace be upon him, is located near the Well of Zamzam.


 * Some believe that Hood's tomb is in Damascus, and that he found a wall next to a mosque engraved on it, here is the tomb of Hood, peace be upon him.  Some believe that Hood's tomb is located in the Wadi al-Salam cemetery in the city of Najaf in Iraq, and next to it are the graves of the prophets Adam, Noah and Saleh.


 * It was said that Hood's tomb is located at the top of a high mountain to the east of the ancient city of Jerash, specifically in the village of Nabi Hood, which was known by this name after Hood, peace be upon him, and the road to this grave is winding, narrow and steep, in a building consisting of a room of 16 square meters.  The building is surmounted by a dome, and the floor of the building is covered with carpets and mats.
