Fields of Educational Psychology:

 * Educational psychology is a branch of psychology that deals with many of the main topics related to the education of different age groups during childhood and adolescence, which helps to enhance students' educational and cognitive abilities.

 Among the most important topics that focus on educational psychology:

 * Educational technologies used in various educational institutions.  Designing educational programs and developing curricula, special education, and formal education.  Attention to gifted learners in educational institutions to develop their capabilities.  Evaluating student outcomes, individual differences, and various learning difficulties.  Study how children are taught and appropriate educational environments such as classrooms.


 Teaching and learning methods.  Cognitive development of students.  Competency assessment.


 Educational Psychology Perspectives:


 * There is a wide range of psychological perspectives used in educational psychology that are used to increase the child's various abilities, including:


 The behavioral perspective: which depends on increasing the child's adaptation to the classroom environment and improving his behavior by preparing rewards when the student's behavior is good.  The developmental perspective: which includes developing the child's intellectual skills and enhancing his cognitive development.  Perceptual perspective: it is called cognitive psychology, which clarifies the methods of learning and thinking of the child and helps him find appropriate solutions to all his problems,


 * In addition to helping him remember the things that they learn and thus motivate the child to learn.  The constructive perspective: which is based on the different theories of learning, which help to build the child's cognitive activities, and calculate the social and cultural influences and the extent of their impact on his scientific and cognitive awareness.  The teacher's role in the field of educational psychology. Teachers should be familiar with information and research related to educational psychology in order to develop their educational capabilities.


 * In addition to enhancing their abilities by participating in programs to prepare distinguished teachers, thus achieving great results in the long term, as educational psychology was able to change the old concept of education and to prepare teachers and give them the ability to take into account the individual differences between students and deal with them according to their individual mental and cognitive abilities  .
